PORTOverview
A leading global nutrition enterprise identified regulatory affairs and medical compliance as a critical bottleneck for digital transformation. They needed a system to translate nutritional ingredients into scientifically substantiated, legally compliant consumer product claims — semi-autonomously.
We developed an AI-powered Claims Agent demo to validate core workflows and secure the business case for a full platform investment. As UX Lead, I designed an intuitive enterprise workspace that streamlined a complex backend ecosystem — combining RAG pipelines, external scientific APIs, and compliance databases — into a seamless product go-to-market workflow.
Role & Responsibilities
The design approach: untangling complex data
Regulatory data is dense and filled with exceptions — the design had to make it instantly trustworthy.
To make this complex data highly usable for corporate human-in-the-loop validation teams, the UX was anchored on two core pillars:
Transparent lineage
Enterprise users must trust the source. The UI was designed to clearly display ingredient authorisation status, geographic limits, and original academic abstracts side-by-side with the generated claims.
Claim mapping & evidence architecture
Instead of a simple chat output, I structured the workspace into a clean data matrix. Claims are categorised by market authorisation, target population, and a "Strength of Evidence" ranking, allowing medical affairs teams to validate AI outputs instantly.
Impact & strategic value
Accelerated time-to-market
Semi-autonomous claims process clears documentation backlogs
Proved a semi-autonomous claims workflow can drastically reduce manual research overhead.
Roadmap definition
Qualitative insights shaped the corporate platform roadmap
Feedback-first design gathered tactical workflow data to align stakeholders on the full platform investment.
