PORTOverview
Across multiple innovation sprints and accelerators, I partnered with R&D teams from global companies to design and test entirely new product and service concepts — before a single line of production code was written.
Each sprint involved designing static stimuli, interactive prototypes, or full MVP webshops to validate assumptions around desirability, usability, and willingness to pay with real target consumers.
Role & Responsibilities
Sprint 01 · Pharma
Designed a mobile app concept and desktop dashboard to help patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy self-monitor symptoms and share data with their physicians. Static stimuli were used to test concept desirability and workflow with patients and healthcare providers.
Concept type
Static stimuli & interactive prototype
Sprint 02 · MedTech
Created static stimuli to test smart product concepts — including a leak-alert sensor and a precision-cut guide app — for people living with a colostomy bag. Concepts were validated through consumer interviews to assess perceived value and usability.
Concept type
Static stimuli for consumer validation
Sprint 03 · Consumer Health
Designed a full MVP webshop — including packaging, branding, and e-commerce UX — to measure real consumer willingness to pay for an over-the-counter bed bug detection kit. Purchase behaviour and drop-off rates provided actionable validation data for the client's R&D team.
Concept type
MVP webshop & product branding
Sprint 04 · Energy
Designed static stimuli in Mandarin to test a connected gas cylinder service enabling pay-per-use consumption for rural households in China. Concept screens illustrated the full user journey — from smart sensor monitoring to on-demand delivery — for validation with target consumers.
Concept type
Static stimuli for consumer research
Sprint 05 · Construction
Created visual concept cards to communicate a portfolio of sustainability innovations — from smart home energy systems to flood-resilient construction — for a global construction company seeking to position itself as a leader in sustainable building. Concepts were tested with contractors, developers, and homeowners.
Concept type
Concept cards & visual communication
Sprint 06 · FMCG · Nestlé
Designed a full brand identity and MVP webshop for a line of scientifically-proven supplements targeting women transitioning to menopause. The concept included product naming, packaging, social media presence, and an e-commerce site — all tested for desirability and purchase intent with real consumers.
Concept type
Brand identity, packaging & MVP webshop
Impact
Each project translated ambiguous innovation briefs into tangible, testable artefacts — giving R&D teams the consumer signal they needed to decide whether to invest, pivot, or kill a concept before committing to full development.
Working at the intersection of design craft and business rigour, the output went beyond aesthetics: every visual decision was made to test a specific assumption about desirability, usability, or willingness to pay.
